Traveling in Europe, we visited numerous castles, cafés and cathedrals. Often after touring a castle we would stop at the closest café for a cool drink. We found that a number of cafés adjacent to castles used goblets that were reproductions of goblets in the castles we had just visited. We drank from goblets whose designs were created for the nobles who had reigned over past civilizations. I often traveled home feeling grateful to someone who lived hundreds of years ago and someone I could never thank for the beauty they created for following generations to enjoy. The goblets on my necklaces are in gratitude and pay homage to these ancient craftspeople.
